New Apple TV remote randomly disconnects

Any body else has the problem of the remote randomly connecting and disconnecting? It keeps popping up in the corner of the screen and says remote disconnected and then it pops up with remote connected over and over again. It's fully charged and only about 4 ft. from the box, it's the 32 gb if that matters.

Not normal behavior, you should contact Apple as it's hard to determine if it's a matter of replacing just your ATV box... just the remote... or both.

I've been getting this occasionally, never caused an issue while using the remote just notice the message popping up now and then.

any chance your wi-fi base station is next to the aTV? both bluetooth and wi-fi are in the 2.4GHz range, and can interfere with each other.

or other 2.4GHz things like some cordless phones.

Think you've hit the nail on the head for me, if it wasn't for a wireless printer I'd disable the 2.4 GHz.

Thank you! I had it sitting right next to my Airport and a PS3, I moved it down a shelf and haven't had any other problems.
