For those waiting for a new Apple TV - decision time.

So the twitter rumours are heating up. Seems like there will be a new Apple TV this Tuesday.

I bought a 4K refurb just over two weeks ago as I was expecting the next one not until later in 2021. My third gen was pretty much dead so it was more of necessity than want.

I can wait in 2021 to see if they do release an A14.

Or you'd keep the 4K and wait for the A14? Or are you saying you'd return the 4K and buy whatever might be announced this coming week versus waiting for the A14? The return window expired for me. I meant to say I can wait to buy a second one for another TV in the house.

Upgrading from the AppleTV4 personally. Looking forward to 4k support, and especially HDR support. Find My support for the remote will be very nice to see, just to get a feeling for how it works in real life, inside buildings. Don't care about an updated remote, as I as one of the few people on the planet, actually likes it a lot.

If it is as presented above, with a premium version, I won't be getting that. If it came out 2 years ago, then I would have gotten it, but the Apple TV will never be a gaming platform for me now - Too late Apple.

I am waiting for the announcement to see. I will probably buy tomorrow, but I want to read/see what the capabilities of this will be.

Definitely undecided. I may buy one if there is a release this month. I assume the base model will be 4k if not they're making a big mistake.

I have the current 4K model in my living room but my bedroom TV has a FireStick (which I hate). So I would LOVE to get a new model for the living room and move the older model to the bedroom. While I could list a number of "wishful thinking" desires for the new model, the one major thing I hope they fix it the issue with raised blacks on Dolby Vision content.
