I am predicting that Apple will soon release a service (possibly a revised Homepage service) that will allow Mac users to post pictures and send dynamic iCards in Flash format, based on various preset themes. I say this because just over a year ago, I got a SPAM about a company that was selling "pre-made" websites for various industries. The themes and pictures were pre-set, and you could customize the text. The logo of the company contained the Apple iTools glass globe, and the email said it was from "steve". So I emailed Apple Legal and told them somebody was cannibalizing their artwork, and they responded with a "thank you, we'll pursue this".

So now it's just over a year later, and the site for this particular company is still up, and they are still selling their services with the same cannibalized logo as of last month. We all know how Apple Legal is, so my guess is that Apple was field testing a possible new tool for self web publishing or new dynamic iCards.

Possibly a cool new feature. Just a theory, but it would be pretty great. :)

(I would post a link, but my Hotmail box was "indescriminately" emptied a few weeks ago, and the email with the link is gone. (Thank you, M$)
