New AppleTV or Old?

Without worrying about the cost... which is better? I don't really use Netflix, and don't care much about the size. Do I order the new one? Or this one? They both only stream up to 720p correct?

Yes, they both do 720p. But, the old one is limited to 720p 24fps while the new one can do 30fps.

The new one is more for renting while the old one is more for buying.

The new one requires your computer to be on to stream your own media while the old one doesn't require a computer to be on because it has a hard drive to sync to.

The new one has only digital outputs while the old one has analog and digital.

The new one functions only as a Appletv while the old one doubles as a hot plate.

And you already know about netflix.

If you're really not worried about cost, get both. Then gift away the loser.
