Just got an Apple TV4K (fourth ATV). When I start it, it doesn't show *any* wifi networks. There's a ton around us, so I suspect the issue is with the ATV and not our network. Our wifi network seems fine and friends are able to join it without a hitch.

Earlier I hooked the ATV up via Ethernet to the router (near our kitchen) and it worked fine. In the photo, the TV's info panel appears at the top showing wifi strength is solid - but the ATV sees no networks (after several minutes). I guess it seems odd that this would happen, but there could be various reasons why.

Before I take it back, is there anything else I can check?

PS: Why yes, that IS the corner of a KitchenAid off to the left... those suckers ROCK!

you could try doing a factory reset, it's probably not going to help though

you have disconnected from ethernet?
the appleTV will only connect to one or the other. I'm not home, but i think the wifi options aren't available if you're connected to wired.
you might also try plugging in an ethernet, and removing, in case some internal setting has gotten "stuck" the wrong way.

I took it back and got a replacement, which works fine.
(I'd done a factory reset, btw. Didn't help. Also, as noted, had it hooked up via Ethernet. Thx.)
