yeah this morn when i got up (i live in australia so the media event was at 4 am) i watched the media event, Hmm the new laptops are good i guess, I was happy to see that the price point stayed the same and decreased a bit for the macbook, but when i went onto the australian mac website to look at the prices and options for upgrades etc for the macbooks just to get a surprise that the macbook prices went from

macbook prices

1499 low end
1799 mid end
2099 high end

to

1649 low end
2099 mid end
2549 high end

Macbook air

2499 low end
3799 high end

to

2899 low end
3999 high end

Macbook pro

2799 15" low end
3399 15" mid end
3799 17" high end

to

3199 15" low end
3999 15" mid end
4499 17" high end

wtf the prices stayed the same or decreased in america so why on earth did they inflate sooooo much in australia
