New base 15" inch - HD question

Got the base 15" inch with high res antiglare. Was wondering if I should instantly buy a scorpio black 500 HD or take that 80 bucks and save for a SSD in a few months. I mainly will be doing video editing, photoshop, and normal task at a amateur level.

Will I notice a huge different between the scorpio from the base HD i got.

Not nearly as much as the difference between the base HDD and the SSD. The question really is:

Are you comfortable with keeping an external HDD to store data that comes with your video editing? If so, go for the SSD and keep the base HDD in an external enclosure as data storage. This way, you will benefit from the blazing speed of an SSD while ensuring that you have enough space for your data.

If you can save for the SSD, by all means, do that. The performance leap is worth spending more on.
