Does anyone know if the new powerbook batteries provide longer life in an older (1 year old) powerbook?

If its just a simple replacement then same battery life as a new one.
If its a NewerTech battery with the extra cells in them, then it last longer about 30minutes or so.

Do the new batteries look exactly the same as the original Apple ones? Or do they look/feel cheaper or have a different texture/feeling/material ?

Along with the charge indicating LEDs...
