I just had the battery of my unibody MBP replaced at my local Apple store. So, it is 100% new. My MBP is about 11 - 12 months old.
Upon getting home (and turning on my MBP), my computer asked me to approve/accept incoming connections for 3 different things. And, I had to re-enter my wi-fi password to get online (2x). It seems strange that changing a battery would cause me to lose some settings AND for me to get some permission requests upon my wanting to go online. (one was relating to OpenDNS) - and the other two I can't remember. Not to be paranoid, but whenever I get these permission requests (internet connection permissions by certain programs) I get very nervous. But, I can't imagine my local Apple store doing anything suspicious or malicious.
Does replacing your battery typically cause these issues? Of course, they could have also "reset" something when they installed the battery. Maybe this resetting caused these pop-ups & my MBP possibly "forgetting" of my home wi-fi password, etc.
