With previous phones, I have always heard that you should drain the battery before charging it. I don't know if this is actually proven to help the battery though. Do you guys let the battery go completely dead before charging always? Just trying to get some opinions. Much appreciated.

I always let it die and charge it until it's topped off when I first get it, just to make sure it's calibrated.

In 1985 perhaps. Its 2014. Batteries have improved a bit. Just charge it and enjoy it.
 
The first few charges I let it drain then charge it completely but after that I think its fine to charge whenever
 
I agree with the above. Just use it and enjoy. They already are conditioned. Apple states to at least drain it once a month.
