I bought a genuine mac battery but doesn't work properly it says 5h then 3 then 5 again, I have resetted smc discharged all battery and recharge but doesn't show the charge properly, what can I do ?
is a macbook late 2009 yosemite osx

The battery time remaining is an ever-changing estimate, based on the current power demands from moment to moment. It is quite normal for it to fluctuate wildly as your workload changes.

Run on battery whenever you need to and plug it in whenever you can. You can plug or unplug any time you need to, regardless of the charged percentage, and you never need to completely drain your battery.
