Since every shot should be a kill shot (not just a wounding shot), this is a bad idea. You've got to aim more precisely than that if you don't want the animal to suffer. But I never liked hunting anyway. It is a necessary evil to fund and sustain our natural resources.

Exactly. What if you shoot an animal and can't find it? It just bleeds out as it scampers off.

Maybe they integrate some heat sensor thing so it will shoot in the core of the animal and more likely to kill it than a leg shot or some such.

*grumble* Stupid state. :p

What is it with you Yanks and guns? Can't you take up squash or something normal?

I f I remember correctly, blind people can already hunt in Michigan.

"In Michigan, it's now legal to hunt with a laser-equipped gun, as long as the person is legally blind and he has a spotter who assists him with the shot."

Michigan is an extremely gun-happy state.

Tax dollars hard at work.
Not yours, however.

Whitetail deer aplenty down here, for those of you interested...
Like mcarnes said, hunting is a "necessary evil". Since the natural predator of whitetail and other deer have been largely exterminated, if left unchecked they would overpopulate and eat themselves into starvation which, in my opinion, is a far worse fate for the deer than a quick shot through the heart.

Now blind people hunting, I don't think I will be going near any deer leases if this gets passed.

Most animals die days or even weeks later of secondary infection (such as gangrene). I don't mind hunting if it is done by people who have taken the time to do it properly and ethically.
