New Boot Camp update today and Windows screen is dark. How long do I wait?

Windows Apple Update box opened, 800+ MB update available. I hit Install.. halfway through it, the screen goes dark. I hear the Windows notification sound a couple of times and now nothing. The fans are roaring but keyboard and screen are dark. Anyone have any issues with this latest update? Thanks for any info.

I updated my Macbook Pro 16" 2019. No issues. Works perfectly. Did you try to see if your screen brightness was somehow turned down?

touchbar was dead. waited 10 minutes. could not do anything except long hold power button.. rebooted and everything is fine. weird.

I checked the log, it was installing some external display update for 2022..
