I used to have a PowerBook G4 and bought Mac Office for it. I was wondering if I buy a C2D Macbook will I still be able to use the old Mac Office that I bought previously or have to purchase a new one made for the Intel chips.

I have also heard that Macbooks dont really run Office very well?

Can anyone speak from experience and give me advice?

as of now, there is no intel chip version of M$ Office, so
yeah, you can use it.

You can run PPC Office (your existing version) under Rosetta. This is seamless: you won't even know it's happening. It does take a bit of extra time to startup but once running Word and Excel are fine (I don't use the other apps) on my MBP. You need quite a bit of RAM though as the translation uses more memory than normal: aim for 1Gb at least.
