Somewhere in Texas
My first case was the Griffin Elan Form Case (http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/elanform3g). I loved this case, wasn't too bulky, offered scuff protection on the back of the phone and around the chrome. It ended up creating two huge long scratches on the back of the case, went to the apple store and had it replaced.

Now I'm on the Incase Protective Case (http://www.goincase.com/products/detail/protective-cover-cl59051). Rubbery, works pretty well except it makes it nearly impossible to get the phone out of my pocket. Recently (note that I rarely ever take the phone out of the case), the top of the case has ripped (picture below).

I haven't dropped my phone once (until now). I took the case off so it would be easier for me to pull the phone out of my pocket. Sure enough, dropped it right on the concrete. (I put a different screen protecter on the phone because the drop caused the protector to just rip off. Tried to cut the screen protector before I put it on so it didn't catch around the gouge in the glass but failed). Picture below.

I'm looking for a hard shell case sorta like the elan form from griffin. I've been looking at the incase slider case. Anyone know if the black incase slider case has a plastic finish or a leathery/rubbery finish? And also taking any other suggestions for other cases such as the elan form.

Thanks :D
