I have a friend that purchased a new iMac yesterday from an Authorized Apple reseller(But not a "Apple" store). It did not have iLife 09 installed, the sales person said they would have to go to Apple and buy it, is this correct?

Thanks....

Money is tight for these people and I pushed them to buy a Mac, its kinda lame they have to spend $10 for something that should have come with it...

I guess they don't "need" the new iLife.

If money is so tight for said people, why did you "push" them towards an iMac?

Why?

Because a Dell is NOT an option....

For the money a mini is not really an option if you don't have a keyboard, mouse, monitor. Sure you can find a really cheap-o monitor, mouse keyboard and save a little money over the iMac but in the long run it is not worth the difference.

Tell them to call Apple. I bet they'd sent it for free.
