New connector should inspire new products

I know a lot of people wont agree with this, and I understand the cost of loosing current peripherals, but personally I have been looking for a new dock/clock radio for several months. Most of whats out there now is not very good. Im hoping that this new connector will force companies to create new designs and update their product lines. Anyone else agree?

Of course they'll update their lines since this connector will be Apple's standard for many years to come.
