Hi everybody.

So i just got my new core i5 imac - replacing my 24" 2,4 ghz.

Then i wanted to install logic 8, but i asked me to install Rosetta, and would nor launch the logic installer unless i did. Why is this happening, and has it happended to any of you. I mean Rosetta is for PPC programs running on intel macs, but logic 8 is not a PPC program, and the core i5 is an intel mac?

Any thougths would be appreciated, and is there a problem installing rosetta?

Cheers

My reply is that if the OS wants to install Rosetta - just let it go ahead.

Rosetta won't hurt anything, won't "touch" anything that is completely "intel-native", and will only be active when you run something that is NOT intel-native.

It's not leprosy. It's code.
