Hi, I'm currently with Tmobile right now and my contract is up next week. I am planning on switching to AT&T to get the iPhone 3Gs. I will be porting my number and am planning on using my company discount on the line. Do I need to do all of this at the AT&T store? Or can I do this at Best Buy or Apple? Thanks!

I think the Apple stores will give you the best experience.

AT&T stores (in my area) are shady and sign you up for random features.

In order: Apple > Best Buy > Online > AT&T store

Wherever they sell iphones, you can buy iphones and set them up with AT&T., Apple, AT&T, Best Buy, god forbid...Walmart

If you absolutely need to apply your discount on the first day, you will need to visit the AT&T store. It's also a better idea for your number porting, as well. However you can always purchase the iPhone @ Apple/Best Buy/Wal-Mart, and take care of the port and discount afterwards.

Best Buy quickly and easily ported my number.

To the OP, Hook 'em. :)

Thanks guys. I think that I will go to AT&T just to be sure that everything is done right and that the discount is applied.
