Maybe more exciting that it sounds. But it does add a no-cd fix, which I think is very appreciated. Also supposed to fix the following Mac-specific bug:

Bug Fixes

- Fixed an incompatibility between Rosetta and OpenGL mode on Intel Mac.

Somewhat of a downer though is there might still be some issues with MacBook Pro's running 10.5.3. See last post here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/490676/

I have not any issues running D2 LoD on my MacBook (Leopard 10.5.3) pre 1.12 patch. Will try to update tonight.

Thanks for the update. Still crashes for me on MBP 10.5.3.

So there seems to still be some issues that the apparent "bug fix" has not fixed with Leopard.

Interesting to see if I can get it to run on my MB 10.5.3 tonight.

Installed the patch yesterday with the following results:

* OpenGL graphics mode now works on Intel Macs.
* All four resolutions works as they should
- 640x480
- 640x480 (stretched)
- 800x600
- 800x600 (stretched)

I am running a 2.0Ghz Macbook, 2gb ram, Leopard 10.5.3 installed.

Logged into BattleNet account and the patch started downloading immediately. After the patching process was complete I copied the "Diablo Expansion Music" file from the LoD disc over to my Diablo II folder, the file was around 53mb.

Done, that's it. Diablo now runs great without the CD. No issues discovered so far.

Also applied the patch and OpenGL is running now, yay :)
Didn't do any speed tests yet though.

But what I'd like to add is: If you did not do a full install, i.e. you skipped movies, just copy the according movie file to the disk too and you are done, no need to reinstall full :)

I applied 1.12 and copied the expansion music over and no-cd and opengl are working great!!! Thanks Blizzard!!!

I am currently running a MAC PRO (2008) with a Nvidia 8800GT, Leopard 10.5.2. I have held off updating to 10.5.3 because of the reported problems with Diablo II. Can anyone confirm that a MACPRO w/ 8800GT and 10.5.3 will/will not work with Diablo II??? anyone? Bueler?:D

Nevermind: according to one of the posters here: http://www.battle.net/forums/thread.aspx?FN=support&T=535843&P=4 which has the same setup it didn't work for him either... I wonder if I can apply the 10.5.3 update through another means manually and maintain the current driver for my video...

where am i meant to download this patch from? it mentions the battle net realms, but how do i get onto the battlenet realms when the game crashes when i try to load it up?

Finally a no-CD patch from the company itself. WoW! ;)

I also hope it fixes the problem I was having with the game completely freezing when logging in or when leaving a game.
