Greetings,

I was wondering if anyone could help me out... I am getting ready to buy a new dual ghz Powermac and plan on using it with a Gateway VX900T VGA monitor till I pay off my CompUSA credit card enough to buy a 17" Apple LCD.

Does the mac come with everything in the box to hook it up to a VGA? The monitor was orginally for a PC do Macs and PC's have the same style "VGA?"

I have asked the guy at CompUSA and he says I need to buy an ADC convertor from Apple.COM but the more and more I look at that it seems like it's for hooking another LCD to the DVI video out.

Thanks

I think it depends on which Graphics Card you get. I think they all have DVI and ADC connections on them.

Look at this link. In the middle, it says that DVI to VGA adapter is included. So I guess the answer is yes, PowerMac will work with VGA monitors.
