Have you noticed that eMacs with the current specs are listed as "Previous Generation eMacs" on the Apple store's special deals page? Don’t know how long they have been listed, but can this be a sign of upcoming upgrades?

I sure hope so anyway . . !

Those previous generation eMac's are prior to the ones that are out now. (all they did was replace the low-end model) Regardless, they are due for an update soon.

They also removed the bootable copy of OS 9 from all the machines.

So you're saving money on the machine AND getting something extra (bootable OS 9).
