after reinstalling osX 10.4 on a new harddrive. my email no longer has that red alert with the number of new emails in the doc icon.

any ideas?
 
i don't see dock unread count in the general section under my mail perferences.

is this in leapord only? i'm still runnign 10.4.8
 
Should be set to Inbox, like mine is. Make sure it doesn't say None. I dont recall what it looked like in 10.4.8.

darn, doesn't have taht option in 10.4 apparently.

I'm curious. Why not upgrade to 10.5.4? That way, when you have an issue, you'll find more people running the same software who can help. Not to mention all the great new features.

still on a G5, and i heard that the performance drop on leopard when running CS3 was pretty significant.

anyone have experience with this?
 
Not sure if you'll get much response in this thread on that issue, but if you search the forums, you'll likely find lots of information, such as this.
