New email notification noise sound broken?

does anyone else have this problem.

The new mail notification sound, after the phone has been on a while, sounds like the audio file is SKIPPING. Instead of just the normal bong, or ding, it goes ding ing ing ing ing ing ing ing ing ing ing.

It sort of crescendos and then tapers off to a stop.

A phone reboot seems to fix it.

Yeah same thing happens here after awhile... reboot seems to fix it.
