So Endomondo updated their Apple Watch app to run standalone. I've been using it on my series 0, and it works great. The release was back on May 1, and was surprisingly quiet, given that this was functionality people have been begging for for years:
Attention, all Apple Watch users! We’ve given our app for Apple Watch a major overhaul! Here are some highlights:
– Standalone app – enjoy the freedom of working out without your phone.
– Revamped design – have fun with a better, fresher looking app and a workout summary with more details, including your route.
– Ready, set, go! No more starting a workout before the GPS signal is ready. Just wait for the new GPS icon to turn green.
– Better heart rate data – see which HR zones you’re in as you go to know how hard you train. Once you finish, you’ll see a complete HR graph over your workout.
– Lap times in a list view – know exactly how fast you are going lap after lap.
– Better together – all Apple Watch series are supported.

I'm interested in how well Endomondo works truly disconnected, leaving the phone at home. Has anyone tried this app with the LTE Apple Watch?

ETA: just realized I should have put this in the Apple Watch Apps forum. My bad!
