New external HD for MBP, or should I wait for TB?

Yea, I know the reaction to this, what speed do you Actually need etc. etc.

Well, in my opinion you cannot get a fast enough device, so my question is what would you recommend buying for an external HD for a MBP right now.....?

well definitely get one that only needs USB power.

SSD preferably. I had a regular notebook computer HDD in an enclosure and it didn't last long.
