Hello everyone,

MindSnow is a tool I wrote years ago to help me come up with new ideas for software projects, research paper topics, that kind of thing. I've also used it for language learning and exam revision.

It works by randomly displaying words and ideas in a relaxing manner in the form of a snow storm. The idea came to me one day while I was daydreaming as the snow fell outside. Sounds corny, looks corny, but it works pretty well for me.

I've built in wordlists to help with things like 'thinking of ideas for software projects', 'overcoming challenges in life', 'photography/art ideas', 'picking a baby/pet's name', 'learning common Chinese characters', 'hobby/craft project ideas' and so on.

I'm the developer, this program is freeware and it runs on MacOS, Windows, Linux. Developed on MacOS, of course. :)

If you're using MacOS Lion, you may need to install Java first.

Take a look, perhaps you will find it useful. If you really like it, there's a donation page which you can use to help cover my hosting costs, but to be clear, this is freeware (forever), not donationware.

If you find it useful, you could also help me out by linking to this message in any other website forums that might be interested in it e.g. photography, crafts, language learning sites.

Enjoy :)
