Came up with this concept today after yet another keyboard freeze. As soon as the keyboard came back, i typed away. Thinking about sending this to Steve - what do you think???

Mac & PC Ad - Leopard takes a bite

[We see our two actors standing in front of a white background]
Mac: Hi, i’m a Mac.
PC: And i’m a PC.

[Enter a leopard stage left]

[Mac pats the big, beautiful cat]

[Without warning, the leopard rips off both of Mac’s hands - one of which was holding his iPhone - and walks away]

[PC remains in the same position but looks aghast with mouth open]

[Mac is nonpulsed. He holds his two stumps in front of him.]

PC: What just happened?!?!?
Mac: Oh that? That was nothing...

PC: Nothing? Leopard just took your hands and iPhone!
Mac: It happens all the time...he’ll bring them back...

PC: What do you mean?
Mac: You see, Leopard decides at random to take away my ability to type and my internet connection.

PC: For how long?
Mac: It varies...say a minute to 10 minutes or more. Sometimes I need to go lay down for a while and ‘reboot’ to get everything back as it was.

PC: And that doesn’t bother you?
Mac: Bother me? [looks like he is just realizing that it should] but doesn’t that happen to you?

PC: [thinks for a second] That’s never happened to me or anyone in my family....
Mac : I thought that’s what happened to everyone. All of my friends have had it happen to them since this new cat came to town.

PC: You want me to call a doctor or something?
Mac: No thanks, I’ll just wait for Leopard to come back. Maybe he’ll grow out of this phase he’s in...

I haven't had this problem, although I've had several others.

I can't wait to see this screenplay acted out on YouTube in the near future

I like it. But for goodness sake don't bother sending it to 'Steve Jobs' . I'm sure whoever answers the emails sent to him have enough rubbish cluttering the inbox.

LOL, why do I have the Black Knight scene in my head now?

PC - "..both your arms are gone"
Mac - "no they aren't"
PC - "your bleeding"
Mac - "it's just a fleshwound"

Mac - "Come on you pansy!"
PC - "Your a looney"

Haha, I love that part.

Thanks for all the comments!

Ended up sending this to Steve as part of an email describing these frustrations and asking for an ETA on a fix. Got this reply this morning:

"These bugs should be fixed in a software update next week. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for your patience.

Steve

Sent from my iPhone"

Great to see an acknowledgment of the keyboard and wireless problems as well as a promise to fix them soon!!

If it's not fixed within a week, send it again :D

The wireless problem is so annoying! When I just want to quickly check my emails I can be waiting for 10 mins or more before the internet actually works.

It's working at the moment... touch wood.

*knock on wood*

Best as I have been able to tell, I have had no more issues with Leopard than I ever did with Tiger. Most of my issues that have come up could be easily traced back to a specific app as opposed to Leopard as a whole.

Like this weird bug I have (ok, this might be Leopard since i haven't tested it in any other app) where not even right-clicking on a word and hitting "Look up in Dictionary" will look the word up... though I only ever look words up in Safari.

Or in Safari also, if I hit command+F, and then immediately start typing, the first letter won't register. But only for Command+F... new tabs, search bar, anything else will register immediately.

lol..

lol...gave me a good laugh...my quirk..mail doesnt delete notes...they disappear and then reappear...maybe the leopard likes something to read too..or is trying to tell me something...no clue!!

first letter doesn't appear? Me too!

In many many places, I type a word and then see that the first one or two letters haven't "registered." I didn't realize this problem started with Leopard, but you might be right about that.
