I had no option but to purchase a new 2012 3.06 12 core Mac Pro about 4 months ago to remain competative with my 3d animation work. I came from a 2.8 gig 8 core 2008 machine. I am really hoping when Apple releases the New Mac Pro, I'll be able to drop in whatever new top of the line graphics card they offer. What do you think are the chances that will be possible. I'm getting worried. As far as the rest if the machine goes, I'm thrilled with it.

Even if Apple doesn't debut anything, NVidia announced an updated workstation gpu. The only downside is it's over $2000. Several people on here have reported success with the newer GTX cards.
