New Graphics card in the near future?

I was planning on getting the X1900 XT but from the looks of it, the card has too many problems. My 9800 xt in my pc also overheats so I'm steering clear of ATI. Any news on whether the Mac Pro will support an nvidia card equivalent or more powerful to the x1900 (besides the quaddro of course).

You might want to wait and see, there's an Apple event coming up this Tuesday if I'm not mistaken.

What kind of problems? I've been "raping" my Mac Pro's CPU/Memory/GPU for the past few weeks with zero problems. It does produce heat and behind my mac it is pretty hot, but that's about it. I've had zero issues whatsoever, even with Windows via Bootcamp (Mainly OSX).

A lot of people have been problems where the card deteriorates after 6 or so months... I had a similar experience with the 9800xt which I now have to underclock so it doesn't overheat (completely stock and didn't overclock).
