hi there. i havent gotten a macbook yet but by my calculations it should take me 48 more days of meeting my quota of 25 dollars to have enough money. yeah! could you give me some pros about getting the basic $1099 macbook? also can age of empires 3 run on it?

Hmmmm.....

As of now, the 1299 version is the BEST! It offers the best value for money!
With more HDD space, more GHz, more memory and a DVD writer (yes, the 1100 doesnt have a DVD writer), it handily beats the basic version!

Yes, you cant run it on Mac OS (of course you'll need the Mac version).... but strangely, the Win version through BCamp has a slight edge over performance!

Head over to HP ;)

$878.99 will get you a 2.2GHz Turion Ultra (yes it is faster than the 2.1GHz C2D in the MacBook), 2GB of RAM, 160GB HDD, 1680x1050 screen, high capacity battery, Radeon 3450 (with hybrid crossfire with the IGP, better overall performance than the MacBook Pro). Go up to $1077.99 and you can get a blu-ray reader in it ;)
