New guy with mp3 issues

Hi everyone,

I am new to Mac. I am not very good a tech issues, so please have patience.

I just purchased a MBP used 2010 it is all up to date and the tech test that came with Apple care says everything is OK.

I am using Safari.

When I go to my favorite Mandolin Forum

some of the clips download instead of opening and playing. I can get around it by going to my downloads and removing html from the end of the name.
Then it will play.

Is there a setting I can use to avoid this.

Is it a Safari or a forum issue?

Seems to be a Safari/forum issue, as I encounter the same, though Chrome does not seem to have a problem with it.
