New H.D put in MacBook.. can't import libraries. Help please.

So, a few days ago i posted that my macbook would not start up, and i got the blinking folder with the question mark.

Well, i went to my apple appointment today and they put in a new hard drive in for me.

Now i'm in the process of transferring my applications and files back onto the new H.D. from my external H.D. However.. I can't seem to open my iTunes library nor my iPhoto library from my external H.D. The information(data) is there, but won't show up in neither application when I double click on the library.

Any ideas of what to do? Thanks!

Hold the option key while launching the either itunes or iphoto. This will give you the option to choose which library to open.

Okay.. this worked PERFECTLY with iphoto but not with itunes. Any other ideas?

EDT: I think i'll just import the songs from the external and see how it goes.
