So I've changed my main hard drive to a SSD, imported the manifest from the time machine backup of the old HD, and now when I try to back up it says the hard drive as the time machine destination doesn't have enough space.

Is it just a case of formatting the drive and setting it up as the time machine drive again? Annoying if so, but its not the end of the world, I'd just rather not have to trash all my old backups.
