Hi everyone. Hopefully you guys can shed some light onto my situation i've run into.

I've recently purchased a Samsung 160gb hard drive for my powerbook G4. I took everything apart carefully and installed the new drive with no problems.
I went through the steps to install OSX onto the new hard-drive. I found that i needed to create a partition and format the drive with disk utility. So, i did that, and everything seemingly went find. Onto the installation... It "checks the disc" then continues through the installation... i don't get all the way through disc one and it comes up with an error. It tells me to restart and try reinstalling. OK. bummer. so i restart... Come to the "select destination drive" option, and the HD is not to be found. Funny i thought, so i go back into disc utility. This time, the drive is nowhere to be found. So now i'm stuck, as if the hard drive is no longer being read. However, i can still here it churning inside with no boot disc in.

Also, i made sure the jumper settings were correct (no jumper=master)

Any help? Thanks :D
