Hi,
I tried to upgrade my old macbook (2ghz core2duo) to a 360 gig seagate hard drive. When it prompts me to designate a destination drive for the OS, nothing shows up. It's grayed out to for "continue". But on disk utilities, it indicates the presense of the drive, but I still can't get the OS to install. I've tried both Tiger and Leopard.

Suggestions?

Thanks.

You need to format the new drive via Disk Utility (on the Installer DVD) with the file system called HFS+ (Disk Utility calls it Mac OS Extended (journaled)).

Then you can proceed with your installation.
