New Hard drive problems :(

I just installed a new hard drive on my computer. I turned on my computer, put in my network information, and I was then prompted to move forward by clicking on an picture of a cd that was snow leopard. The apple appears, but computer just continuously beeps. Anyone have any ideas about what is going on?

Let's back up a bit... what year model is your machine? It sounds like maybe you are in Internet recovery and need to use Disk Utility to format the drive first.
