I just recently bought both a momentus xt hard drive and a refurbished macbookpro 15 anti glare. i was wonder can i install snow leopard in the new drive? O:

So i just take out the old one and place in the new one with the osx disk inside correct?

Yes. Avoid touching the underside of the drive (the PCB) during installation. When the installer loads, you'll need to open Disk Utility to format the drive (HFS+ Journaled with a GUID partition table).

A question if I may, thought I'd ask here instead of a new one.
If I was to replace the hd with an Intel ssd (and do a clean install), should I first update the drive's firmware and then format it that exact way?
