Hi everyone,

Just purchased a used Macbook, the only downsider is; unfortunately, it only has 60gb of harddrive. Therefore, I would like to update the harddrive to a 320gb one, for 80$.

Now, my question is; can I just transfer all my installation to my new harddrive? Or will I have to reinstall Mac OS X and every other application when I slap in the new harddrive?

Thanks.

You can transfer all to your new drive before or after you install it.

Here's a method that I like:
Buy a new drive and enclosure.
Put new drive in enclosure and hook to MacBook
Transfer (clone) your internal (old) drive to the external (new) drive
Switch the drives

End result: New larger drive that has everything you had plus an 60GB external drive to use for whatever. -GDF
