An awesome place
So I got the Seagate 120GB 7200rpm 8MB cache FDB motor hard drive for my Dual 867. I want to do a new install of Panther which is on the way at this time. What is the best way of doing a new HD installation and OS install?

Any help would be appreciated, I know the basics as far as removing the old HD and plugging the one and setting cable select. My question is once the HD is in, do I just put the Panther install CD and boot from the Superdrive? Then install to the new HD. Is that how it works?

Tank you in advance.

That's about it. You have the drive installation right. When you boot from the CD it'll allow you to format the drive. I don't remember if there's a utility like in OS 9 or if it does it as part of the install. It's Apple though, so it'll be self-explanatory.
