I've just installed a 500GB Hitachi Travelstar into my early 2008 MBP, it works fine but when I've installed Leopard and backed up my machine via Timemachine I've notice a few settings are different and I am not sure how to get them back...

- The eject DVD/CD is now in the main bar on the top of the screen how do I get rid of it?
- The F1 to F12 keys are now different so I can change the volume, brightness, etc..

When I bought my MBP it came with Tiger and I bought the Leopard retail upgrade would installing this effect these settings?

You can Command Click the DVD/CD icon on the "main bar" and drag it off (Poof).
The F1 to F12 Keys should be programmable in the keyboard preference pane.
:D Sorry can't help with the other question.
