New HDD not Recognized

So, I have a 2007 white MacBook. At some point, I started getting the flashing folder icon so I replaced the hard drive, installed the OS, etc. After about 5hr, I got the flashing icon again. I removed the HDD, re-installed it, same problem. Removed the HDD, put it inside of an enclosure and booted from USB, the OS works perfectly fine but doesn't work when inside the computer. Thoughts?

Bad hard drive cable. Your original HD may have been fine.

yeah check logicboard connection and you might just need to clean the connectors
