Hi guys,

I don't know if anyone else has this issue or whether this is an issue at all, but it annoys me:

Yesterday I worked on my new MBP in a quiet room for the first time and I heard some kind of rattling noise. When I put my ear on the left side of the MBP, close to the ports and magsafe plug, I heard what seem to be the MBPs fans. It seems like you can hear every single rotation they make (if these actually are the fans).

Does anyone else have that and is that normal?

Thanks.

If you have any suggestions I'd be happy to.

The problem is I don't know what is causing it. 2000rpm is normal so fans shouldn't cause it but on the other hand, HD shouldn't make rattling sound.

Try rebooting and don't open anything, just let it be for few mins and see can you hear it
