Price in Aussie is now 1.599 aussie dollars which is about 300 dollars higher than its previous model, and no DVD drive!
I have seen ads for US stores at 1,299 US... are these prices correct or just theoretical by advertisers?

The base 21.5" iMac is indeed $1299 to which we would have to add local sales tax to the price. The best place to find US list prices for Apple gear is at the US Apple Store site.

Hi Dambuster,

I'll think you'll find the price rise hear in Australia is closer to A $170 for the base model 21.5" iMac.

Cheers Paul
