New Imac 3.06Ghz Arrived

Got my wife a 24 imac (well, she'll get my one year old one, and i'm taking the new 3.06 Ghz :) and it arrived today. Ordered it 12 of june and arrived today. It's installing right now, and seems in excellent condition. Colors seem even more vibrant then my old one! This new one is going to replace the best computer ive ever owned!

One annoying thing is that the keyboard seems damaged (left side of the keybord on the right imac). It does work, but the left side is dented. Probably going to return this part.

I live in Baton Rouge, LA. Ordered it on the 12th. Still waiting. Says delivered by Friday.:apple:
 
That's awesome setup! Just call Apple about your keyboard, it's possible that they'll just send you a new one

I took your advice, called them and they will indeed ship directly a new keyboard without need for proof or without the need of sending the old one back. My first after sales experience with Apple, and they really offer a good solution here.

I do have to say that the quality of the Imac 24 inch screen has improved a lot compared to a 1.5 years ago. The colors of this one are more vibrant, and the white is a lot more white and less yellowish. The foot, as you see on the pic, is a bit thinner as well but otherwise visually the construction seems the same.

Overall, the Imac remains - to me - the best desktop available. Beautiful, fast and quiet.

Good to hear that you got excellent service. Keyboards costs maybe 2$ to make so Apple won't lose anything ;)
 
My wife got a new 24" iMac the other day; I use an early '08 MacPro hooked to an old 24" Dell LCD monitor a few years old.

The vibrancy of the iMac's screen is quite striking; I've historically been fine with this old Dell monitor, but now that I sit here glimpsing her screen off and on, it's starting to bug me.

I have the same iMac...it has been impressing me since day 1 - it's a machine! ;)
