Hey,

I got my iMac yesterday and I have a few questions about it,

1), I asked this in another thread but don’t see the harm in asking it again, the problem I am having is that when I put a cd in to my iMac superdrive it makes this like droaining noise, im not sure if this is just the drives natural operating noise when it feeds disks in and out the draw but it will bug me until I know if its normal or not,

2), I installed a1GB stick of RAM myself and im not sure how I see if its there or not, is anyone able to help?

3), I have a Lexmark X2350 printer that the mac wont print from even though it knows its there, how would I go about setting up the printer so it will?

4). Some of my albums don’t get album art when I import them, I have manually changed it for the first song on each album so the artwork shows in coverflow view but all the other songs from the same album don’t have it when I select them separately, is there anyway to add the art work for the full album and not just one song at a time?

1. No idea what a "droaining noise" is.

2. Go to Apple menu > About the Mac. Memory is shown there. Click the "more info..." button in the About this Mac window to open a detailed listing of info about your Mac.

3. Apple menu > System Preferences > Print and Fax. Follow the set up instructions. If you've already set it up, delete the printer and add it again making sure it's set up correctly.

4. In iTunes, go to Advanced > Get Album Artwork. If that doesn't work, you might look into the share/freeware out there that can do it for you.

Thanks for the help guys,

I'm still having problems getting my printer to work, the iMac finds it fine but in the Lexmark dropdown section with printer names it doesnt have my printers name so i can set it up correctly

Might not have a driver for the printer, didn't see OS X listed at lexmark for the x2350, nor was it in the gimp print listing.

You can try looking at searching on the drive for 2350 to see if there is a profile on the drive for it.

But I cannot even look myself, since I only have HP printer drivers installed on my machine.

did you buy the printer at the same time or is it an older printer from windows? I too looked up on the lexmark site and didn't find a driver for mac osx only for windows.

I did find this in the search though:

apple.com/downloads/macosx/drivers/lexmarkprinterdrivers.html

try that and see if it will help you out.
Good Luck

found this list for you, yours is not listed
