I used migration assistant to get all my good ole stuff from my old g4 ibook to my new imac. Well i removed garage band from the ibook because it was very bulky and it was an old machine.... when i moved everything over i dont have garage band now. how can i get it on this new machine that would have had it standard had i not migrated that stuff over?

are you sure? maybe spotlight search for "garageband". are the other apps in the iLife '08 suite on your iMac? i.e. iPhoto, iMovie, iWeb

maybe Migration Assistant noticed you didnt have GarageBand on your iBook and so it removed it from your iMac? im not sure how it works

anyways if its definitely not there insert your iMac's first install disc and open "Install Bundles Software Only". from there select your hard disk and click the "customize" button and only select GarageBand. then click install.
