Hi All-

I plan to buy a 27" 2.8GHz Quad Core i7. Is it possible to add an external monitor to this system. Ideally, I would like the same monitor, resolution etc. but don't see that Apple offers it. If the system supports dual monitors what is the most comparable available even if a smaller size(I really don't want to get into the 30"Cinema) and not an Apple. Is there any extra hardware, cables, adapters, video cards which would also be needed? :D

Mini DisplayPort output port with support for DVI, VGA, and dual-link DVI (adapters sold separately).
27-inch models also support input from external DisplayPort sources (adapters sold separately).

Support for extended desktop and video mirroring modes

Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to a 30-inch display (2560 by 1600 pixels) on an external display

mini-DisplayPort to DVI adapter

Does anyone have any recommendations for non-:apple: branded miniDipslayPort to DVI adapters? There are a few on amazon that I see are <1/2 the price of the Apple-branded adapter. Thanks!
