New imac downgrade to SL

Hi,

Just received a new iMac which comes pre installed with Lion. I want to downgrade to SL, but when we boot from SL it Kernel Panics.

Have Apple done this to stop people from installing 10.6?

You need install DVD with 10.6.6 version, all retail DVD's have 10.6.3 and won't boot on new iMacs.
