Here's my options.

1. Keep my G4 tower now, and buy an iMac in early 2007.

2. Upgrade my G4 tower now, and buy an iMac at the end of 2007/early 2008.

What I mean by "upgrade" is, get the 9800 pro video card so that I can stay up to speed with the latest games for a bit longer, and max out the ram, give it a second Superdrive, and another 250GB internal hard drive.

With that, I wouldn't need to upgrade until early 2008.

Theres always the option of selling the Tower and getting a Mac Pro... but I don't think I need that much power. A Maxed out iMac is fine for me.

What do you think?

Keep the G4 now and get the Merom iMac this january. Upgradung the Ram and GPU cant beat the new intel Macs` functionality IMO.

Just my 2 cents.
